[Note: This is obviously more than just a finisher's medal, but I thought it would interesting to include it here.]

This was some sort of presentation medal. Here is what Scott Dickson says about it:
"The Guyancourt medal was placed around my neck immediately after finishing. Opperman, the 1931 PBP winner,
was waiting at the finish line and also received one. I do not know the significance of the medal."
