October, 2012: message from Mike Croy: Route #7, Victoria-Cassidy-Victoria, is no longer useable. The powers that be have set up concrete barriers all the way up the highway near the Nanaimo airport/Cassidy making the left hand turn @ km 102 completely impossible. There is also no way to now access that turn safely for nearly another 5 km’s in either direction up and down the highway.
